We cannot stress enough how valuable the outdoor education learning experience can be - science, math, reading and writing - it is the fodder for authentic interdisciplinary study. Digging in the dirt and watching things grow in real time is incredibly powerful.
Children measure using standard and non-standard measuring tools, they make observations, ask questions, and problem solve as a natural part of the process. The hard work builds character and a sense of community service. It is a lasting school memory, whether your child is a kindergartner, third grader, or fifth grader returning for a summertime visit.
Thanks in advance for helping our Bakie scientists big and small,
